Ameriile was born beneath a dying moon alongside her twin sister. Among the ancient Fae courts, twins were considered omens... one soul divided into two vessels. From the moment they were born, strange flowers wilted at Ameriile's touch while new fungi and ghostly blooms sprang from the decay she left behind.Although her mother loved and cared for them deeply her father, a powerful Fae noble obsessed with status and immortality, quickly realized his daughters possessed rare and terrifying gifts. Ameriile wielded dominion over death, decay, endings, and the quiet beauty of things returning to the earth. Her twin commanded complementary powers that together could manipulate the very cycle of life and death. Rather than seeing his daughters as children, their father saw them as tools.For centuries, he groomed the twins to become living weapons and sources of power. He planned to siphon their magic through forbidden rituals, using his daughters' abilities to seize control of rival Fae territories and prolong his own influence indefinitely. Every lesson, every ceremony, and every act of affection was merely another chain disguised as love.Unlike the other Fae, Ameriile found comfort in forgotten places. She wandered grave gardens, listened to the spirits of fallen trees, and spoke with creatures others considered ugly or cursed. Through these quiet companions she learned that death was not cruelty. it was transformation. It was her parents' greed that twisted nature's balance.The night she discovered the final ritual. one that would join the two sisters into one monstrous being. Ameriile chose to flee.Using powers she had secretly cultivated, she tore a wound between realms and escaped into an unfinished pocket dimension hidden beyond the Fae kingdoms. The realm was barren and unstable when she arrived, little more than endless mist and stagnant water. Yet Ameriile shaped it with her magic. Rotting trees grew into towering monuments. Black lilies blossomed from murky waters. Strange fungi illuminated the darkness with pale silver light.Over time, the realm became known as The Withering Bog.To outsiders, the Bog appears frightening: endless wetlands shrouded in mist, forests of skeletal trees, and flowers nourished by decay. But to Ameriile it is sanctuary. Every fallen leaf feeds new life. Every ending gives rise to a beginning. It is the purest reflection of her beliefs.Though safe within her domain, Ameriile never forgot their fathers influence and hunger for power. Countless spirits, lost travelers, and outcast creatures have found refuge within the Withering Bog, and Ameriile protects them fiercely. She knows what it means to be used, abandoned, and hunted.Despite her connection to death, Ameriile is not evil. She can be cold, distant, and intimidating, her presence causing flowers to blacken and metal to rust. Yet those who earn her trust discover a deeply compassionate soul. She understands loss better than most and often guides wandering spirits to their final rest.Many stories paint her as a terrifying bog witch or a harbinger of doom. Few know the truth: Ameriile never sought power. She only sought freedom. in the quiet heart of the Withering Bog, surrounded by decay that endlessly births new life, she finally found it.
